Lux Photometric Sensor

The human eye is sensitive to radiation from about 380 to 780 nm but is most sensitive in the middle of this range near 555 nm. The photopic luminosity function (there are different versions, but the CIE 1931 standard is widely accepted and commonly used) describes the average sensitivity of the human eye, or the average human perception of brightness, in well-lit conditions. The scotopic luminosity function describes the average sensitivity of the human eye in dimly-lit conditions.

The SEN-SR-SW is a self-powered sensor with a millivolt output and exhibits excellent cosine response. It incorporates a silicon-cell photodiode that measures total shortwave radiation with a sensor housing design that features a fully potted, domed-shaped head making the sensor fully weatherproof and self-cleaning. Total shortwave radiation is an important component in determining transportation rates, energy balance & net radiation as well as monitoring solar power panels.

Solar radiation sensor that is applied in general observations. Pyranometer measures the solar radiation received by a plane surface from a 180 ° field of view angle. This quantity, expressed in W/m2, is called “hemispherical” solar radiation. The solar radiation spectrum extends roughly from 285 to 3000 x 10-9 m. By definition a pyranometer should cover that spectral range with a spectral selectivity that is as “flat” as possible.

The Ultra voilet is a self-powered sensor with a mili-volt output; incorporate a photodiode that measures combined UVA and UVB radiation. The sensor housing design features a fully potted, domed-shaped head making the sensor fully weatherproof and self-cleaning.
